Our Mission
The Mission of the Build-A-Chair Initiative is to provide individuals with disabilities mobility which in turn means a new life outside the walls of one room. By providing a person with a locally made, custom wheelchair we give individuals a second chance to engage their community, go to church, see friends, and earn income. We believe that each person deserves an opportunity to live a life with dignity and self-worth.

Lucy, The Build-A-Chair Ambassador
Over the past five years, our grassroots efforts have raised over $53,000, funding the construction of 206 custom-made wheelchairs. These wheelchairs have done more than provide mobility - they have transformed lives. Women, children, and men who once crawled on the ground or were carried from place to place now have the opportunity to earn a living, attend school and church, and engage in meaningful social connections with family and friends.

The Build-A-Chair initiative is more than just giving a wheelchair - it's about restoring hope, mobility, and opportunity, one chair at a time. Through our efforts, we have empowered individuals to regain their dignity, independence, and a sense of belonging, creating ripples of positive change within their communities.
